Braces for Kids
You Have Questions, We Have Answers
We understand that parents and children have a lot of questions about getting braces. Sometimes, braces are not the only answer. Children do not always need braces. Sometimes no treatment is needed. Other times Invisalign® or retainers are appropriate. We provide an honest opinion to help you make a decision that works best for you.
A common question that we often get is, “What age is best to first see the orthodontist?”
The American Association of Orthodontists recommends age 7. We very rarely think that treating patients at this age is necessary. Sometimes early intervention can provide a better result or prevent more work in the future. Either way, it is nice to have a baseline to help us treat your child better.
We are happy to offer a free initial consultation to address any questions or concerns you or your child may have. Please contact us to schedule a consultation at your convenience.
Get Creative with Colors!
Patients may also decide on traditional metal braces with a variety of color options for the elastics. Choosing colors is one of the fun parts of the orthodontic appointment! Patients may want to choose their favorite colors, school colors, or match their braces to Holidays like Christmas or Halloween.
A Fun Environment
Our reception room has calming, whimsical aquariums and we have a fun game area to help make your visits more enjoyable. For the adults and adolescents, free wireless internet makes it easy to catch up on work or enjoy your wireless devices.
