TYPES OF BRACES

We have several options that can match your lifestyle. Whether you want to be discreet or you want to have a colorful smile while your braces do their work, here are some choices:

CONVENTIONAL BRACES

This is probably what you imagined braces to be. The brackets and archwires are stainless steel, and are the most common type of braces. Many of our younger patients like to customize theirs with colorful elastics!

CLEAR BRACES

These are the same as conventional braces, but use durable ceramic brackets that better blend in with your smile. They are just as effective as conventional braces, but are much less noticeable.

SELF-LIGATING BRACES

It sounds fancy, but these cutting-edge braces don’t use elastics or metal ties. The brackets have a special slide mechanism that holds the wires in place. They guide the teeth into position with little to no pressure or friction. They’re more comfortable, and often work more quickly than other braces. They’re available with both metal and clear brackets, and best of all, they’re easier to keep clean!
